Purpose: To provide a single, comprehensive resource detailing the product warranty, the official support and claim process, and the correct procedures for end-of-life system disposal.
1. Warranty Details
The MeterHome™ Energy Storage System (Model MH-1010143E) comes with a 10-year standard limited warranty. This warranty covers both the ESS Inverter and the ESS Battery components against defects in materials and workmanship.
- Performance Guarantee: The warranty ensures the ESS Battery will maintain at least 70% of its original 14.3 kWh capacity for the duration of the 10-year term. The LiFePO4 battery chemistry is rated for up to 8000 cycles under normal operating temperatures (77°F / 25°C).
- Critical Conditions for Validity:
- The system must be installed by a MeterHome™ Certified Installer (MHCI) or another qualified, licensed electrician.
- The installation and operation must follow all procedures outlined in the official MeterHome™ manuals.
- The warranty is void if the system has been opened, modified, or damaged by external events like flooding, lightning, or misuse.
2. Support & Claim Process
If you experience an issue with your system, a specific support path must be followed to ensure proper diagnosis and resolution.
- Step 1: Contact MeterHome Support: Your first step is always to call our support line. Our agents will perform initial troubleshooting to determine the nature of the issue. Many alarms are normal operational notices or can be resolved over the phone.
- Step 2: Agent Dispatches an Installer: If the issue cannot be resolved remotely, the support agent will take responsibility for dispatching a certified installer for an on-site diagnosis. We will first attempt to contact your original installer, but if they are unavailable, we will send another certified professional to ensure a timely response.
- Step 3: On-Site Diagnosis & Claim Initiation: The dispatched installer will perform a hands-on diagnosis to find the root cause of the fault.
- If the issue is related to installation workmanship or an external factor, the installer will discuss repair options with you directly.
- If the installer confirms a manufacturing defect covered under warranty, the installer will initiate the official claim with MeterHome to obtain the necessary replacement parts.
3. End-of-Life & Proper Disposal
Your MeterHome™ system contains electronic components and batteries that must be disposed of responsibly at the end of their service life.
- Do NOT Dispose of with Household Waste: The system components must not be placed in regular trash or landfills.
- Recycling Required: The system must be taken to a certified facility that handles waste electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE) and lithium-ion battery recycling.
- Contact Us for Guidance: When your system reaches its end-of-life, please contact your original installer or MeterHome™ support. We will provide you with instructions on how to return the product and ensure it is decommissioned and recycled in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
